Separate timings for May 1 entrance exams

New Delhi: With both AIEEE and AFMC MBBS exams scheduled for the same date, on May 1, across the country, the respective boards have decided to hold the tests at separate timings on that day, giving respite to candidates appearing for both.

While the All-India Engineering Entrance Examination is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, the AFMC entrance test is conducted by the Armed Forces Medical Services.

According to a CBSE statement, both have agreed that the AIEEE would be conducted on May 1 from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and AFMC MBBS exam from 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. If a candidate is allotted an examination centre for the AIEEE and the AFMC exam at different cities, the CBSE will consider changing the centre, the statement said. However, this would be at the sole discretion of the CBSE, the statement added. — PTI
