Loyola triumphs

Loyola College won the hockey title in the VIT Rivera 2011 trophy sports event organised by VIT University at Vellore. In the final, Loyola defeated host VIT University 4-0.

The results: Final: Loyola 4 (Hari Prasanth, Nandha, Sakthi Priyan, Delipan) bt VIT 0. Semifinal: Loyola 6 (Sakthi Priyan, Deepak Ganesh, Balamurugan, Tamilarasan 2, Nanan) bt Periyar Arts and Science College, Vellore 0 .

SVS wins title

SVS won the ‘C' Division Sumeru Soft-TNBSA State team championship with a 3-2 win over Gymkhana in the final on Monday.

The win was clinched by S.V.S.' pair of Ashok and Venkatesh, which registered a 2-0 win over Gymkhana's Prem and Vikram in the deciding 6 red snooker doubles encounter.

Senthil is champion

Senthil won the men's singles title in the Aircel Dubowl Republic Day tenpin bowling tournament recently, beating Soni in the final.
