Martin powers Pistons home

CHENNAI: K. Martin Sanjeev (111, 91b, 5x4, 5x6) powered India Pistons, which was chasing 314, to a two-wicket win over Globe Trotters in the third and final round of the V.A. Parthasarathy Trophy one-day cricket tournament.

But the victory wasn't enough for a semifinal spot. Despite the defeat, Trotters qualified for the last four.

Vijay, for whom K.B. Arun Karthick (108) and R. Ashwin (108) shone against Indian Bank, made the semifinals, as did Grand Slam and Jolly Rovers.

Swaminathan's half-century helped WPC India defeat Jagati Publication by seven wickets in the Adclub- Sportstar T20 tournament here.
