Khajuraho (Madhya Pradesh): The Khajuraho Dance Festival has opened here with a Bharatanatyam recital which saw veteran actor Hema Malini perform with her daughters Esha and Ahana Deol. The danseuse has been at the festival a number of times before, but this is the first time she has performed with her daughters. The festival, being held for the past 30 years, is organised jointly by the State's Department of Culture and the Ustad Alauddin Khan Sangeet evam Kala Akademi. This year's fest that ends on February 7 will feature Kathak, Bharatanatyam and Mohiniattam dances. Abhimanyu Lal and Vidha Lal Kathak will present Kathak recital, Rama Vaidyanathan Bharatanatyam and Kanak Rele the Mohiniattam. — PTI
