Annual ritual:‘Saptanadi jalabhishekam' along with milk is being done to the deity in Inavelli temple in Konaseema on Friday. Inavelli (Konaseema): Hundreds of people witnessed “Saptanadi jalabhishekam” in this pilgrim centre of Lord Vinayaka on Friday where more than 20 Archaka Swamis performed the ritual with gaiety and fervour. River water that were brought from Sindhu (Indus) in Pakistan and Ganga, Yamuna, Saraswati, Narmada, Kaveri and Godavari from different parts of the country were arranged in specially decorated pots at the beginning of the pooja. M. Suryanarayana, main priest (Archaka Swami) led the 20 Saivagama Archakas including Chandramouli, Bhaskara Sarma, Allavarapu Balasubrahmanyam and M. Srinivas. Garika pooja After Ganapati pooja, Punyavachanam, Mahanyasa parayanam, Yekadasa Rudrabhishekam, one lakh Garika pooja, Lakshmi Ganapati Homam were performed one after one followed by Vedic hymns surrounding the air. There was no place to stand in the temple as devotees from different villages and other places thronged to witness the annual ritual. Minister Pinipe Viswaroop and MLA Pamula Rajeswari took blessings of Lord Ganapati after the ‘jalabhishekam'. Temple Executive Officer V.V.S. Murthy made arrangements for smooth conduct of the ritual.
