Singapore keen to invest in State

HYDERABAD: The Singapore government will soon depute a Minister to Andhra Pradesh to explore possibilities of facilitating large-scale investments in ports, airports and urban infrastructure projects by Singapore firms.
Delegation for State
Besides, it will also send a delegation to the State after the Assembly budget session for the purpose.
This was indicated by Mr. Ajit Singh, Consul General of Singapore stationed at Chennai, when he called on Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy accompanied by Minister for Investments & Infrastructure Komatireddy Venkat Reddy.
The Consul-General told the Chief Minster that the Singapore government, businessmen and industrialists were interested in making investments in the State.
He complimented the State for achieving fast-paced development in different sectors.
Kiran invited
Mr. Singh invited the Chief Minister and the Minister to Singapore at the earliest to identify the investors. Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy, in turn, assured that his government would extend all the necessary cooperation, apart from offering the usual incentives and assistance, if Singapore industrialists came forward to set up industries.
