Ashok shines in Satyabhama win

VIJAYAWADA: Ashok's 62 helped Satyabhama Talent School beat Nalanda Public School by one run in the Krishna District Cricket Association inter-school league tournament for the Nori Siva Ramakrishna Memorial trophy here on Friday.

Satyabhama made 194 in 27.5 overs and in reply Nalanda was all out for 193 in 29.4 overs.

The scores: Satyabama TS 194 in 27.5 overs (Ashok 62, Avinash 35, Aryesh three for 39) bt Nalanda PS 193 in 29.4 overs; Mahita PS 112 in 15.5 overs (A. Durga Rao four for 14) lost to SDMYRR HS 113 for one in 7.2 overs (G. Omkar 35).

Vivekananda HS 77 in 11.3 overs (Vijendra 43, Mohan five for 25) bt Emmanuel HS 62 in 13.1 overs (Nagendra three for 10); Kumar PS 135 for seven in 25 overs (Lakshmikanth 31) bt Vidwan MS 40 in 23.2 overs (Amarnath three for one, Sunil Varma three for six).

Sidhartha EMS 169 for five in 25 overs (L.D.V. Harish 68, T. Siva Kumar 35) bt Combined Girls Schools 133 for seven in 25 overs; KKR Goutham IS 77 in 19.1 overs (A. Akram four for 14, Vigyan three for 10) lost to MK Gandhi CS 78 for seven in 12.3 overs (Aravind six for 27).

BNR, SKPHL post wins

BNR CC scored a five-wicket victory over Mohammad CC while SKPHL CC registered a 46-run victory over Challengers CC in the Guntur District Cricket Association T-20 tournament for the Annamraju Panduranga Rao Memorial trophy at Guntur on Friday.

The scores: Mohammad CC 109 for five in 20 overs (Koteswara Rao 30, Bunty three for 16) lost to BNR CC 111 for five in 19.3 overs (Anji two for 19).

SKPHL CC 135 for nine in 20 overs (Sami two for 21, Ankamma Rao two for 30, Suresh two for 14) bt Challengers CC 89 in 19 overs.

Anantapur posts wins

Anantapur defeated Nellore by 20 runs and later beat Kadapa by 28 runs in the Andhra Pradesh South Zone advocates inter-district T-20 tournament at Anantapur on Friday.

The scores: Anantapur 120 in 19.5 overs (Somasekhar Reddy 40, Mallikharjun two for 20, Vamsidhar Reddy two for 23) bt Nellore 100 in 18.5 overs (Jayaram Reddy four for 15, Ram Mohan Reddy three for 20, Sudheer two for 12).

Guntur 123 in 20 overs (Sundar Singh four for 22, Sreedhar two for eight) lost to Prakasam 124 for five in 18.2 overs (Pratap 45 n.o).

Anantapur 151 for two in 20 overs (Somasekhar Reddy 59) bt Kadapa 124 for seven in 20 overs (Vijay Prasad 32, Rammohan Reddy two for 11, Sudheer two for 13).

The following archers will represent Andhra Pradesh in the Sahara Senior National archery championship to be held at Vijayawada from February 7 to 9.
