IVRS facility launched

HYDERABAD: Regional Passport Office, Hyderabad has announced the launch a new Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) for telephone enquiries.

Applicants can now check the status of their applications round-the-clock by calling the number 55352, press release stated. Application status can be checked by typing the 10 digit key number on the cash receipt. This particular service is currently available only on Airtel, Docomo, Reliance, Tata and Uninor.

SMS enquiry can also be made on 55352 or 94935-55577 by sending the text ‘Pptap (space) file number (or key number)'. The applicants must keep in mind that the file numbers are 9 digit alphanumeric and key numbers are 10 digit numeric. This service is available on all telecom service providers, the press release added.
