Chief Minister to lay stone for social welfare residential hostel

GUNTUR: Minister for Excise Mopidevi Venkata Ramana Rao said the Congress party would benefit from the alliance with Praja Rajyam Party (PRP).

The Congress had friendly ties with other parties in the past and a similar arrangement is being worked out with PRP now, he told media persons at a press conference at the R&B guest house here on Saturday.

In its 125-year history, the Congress party had good relations with various parties and PRP was like any one of them. The high command would have taken the decision to join hands with PRP after thoroughly weighing the pros and cons, he added.

As regards Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy's tour on Monday (February 7), Mr. Venkata Ramana Rao said a Zilla Parishad guest house built at a cost of Rs. 65 lakh would be inaugurated by the Chief Minister, who would also lay the foundation stone for a social welfare residential hostel costing Rs. 10 crore and participate in ‘Rachabanda', all in Nizampatnam in Repalle Assembly constituency. Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy would also address a public meeting before returning to the Capital. Besides, assets worth Rs.102 crore would be distributed. Nizampatnam ZPTC member S. Narayana Prasad and Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society president V. Srinivasa Reddy were present at the press meet.
