Tirupur CC lifts title

Tirupur Cricket Club defeated Tirupur Textiles Recreation Club by four wickets in the final of the invitation Twenty20 cricket tournament for the P.S. Govindasamy Gounder Trophy recently.

The scores:

Tirupur Textiles RC 103 for seven in 20 overs (S. Sivakumar 32, Somasundaram three for 21) lost to Tirupur CC 106 for six in 18.4 overs (Sathish Prabhu 29, Kuppuraj two for 11).

Easy for Tirupur CC 'A'

Tirupur Cricket Club ‘A' posted a convincing nine-wicket win over Bradman Cricket Club in Udumalpet recently.

Bradman CC 89 in 29.5 overs (Jagan four for 15) lost to Tirupur CC ‘A' 91 for one in 12.3 overs (Sarath 56 not out); Agni CC 208 for nine in 50 overs (Balamurugan 35) bt FNF CC 204 in 49 overs (Maheswaran 71, Jayaprakash 38, Karthik three for 30).
