‘Develop character for bettering society'

HYDERABAD: Lok Satta president Jayaprakash Narayan on Saturday emphasised the need for developing character for the betterment of the civil society.
Participating as the chief guest at the presentation of Inspiring Educational Leader Awards function organised by Inspire India here, he said, “Character is a practical necessity to live in a decent way in the society.”
He observed that good values among people would always contribute for the welfare of the society. “Teenagers who inherit our legacies will need to be stronger and of greater character to face this world. The need for character is greater today than ever before,” he said.
Inspire India founder and chairman Raju Ravitej said that the organisation has launched a massive campaign titled ‘TAPAS' for character building among youth and trained 16,000 youth on how to become skilful, strong and socially conscious.
