Panic after tanker overturns

Bangalore: Panic prevailed for some time on Chandapur-Anekal Main Road when a tanker carrying 12,000 litres of diesel overturned while negotiating a curve near Muthanallur Cross on Saturday afternoon.

Around 4,000 litres of diesel spilled on the road. Sarjapur police and Fire and Emergency Services personnel rushed to the spot and moved the tanker using a crane. Several vehicles were stranded on the road following the incident.

The tanker driver who sustained injuries was taken to hospital.
