Bodies recovered in decomposed state
|
KARUR: The highly decomposed bodies of a woman and her grown up son and daughter were recovered from their apartment here on Saturday.
Samiyathal (43), separated from her husband Thangavel, was living with her son Karthik (26) and daughter Gowri (23) at their apartment at Gandhipuram, off 80-Feet Road, here. The doors of the flat had not been opened for some days with foul smell emanating from inside. The Karur town police broke open the doors and found the three corpses in a badly decomposed condition.
Since the bodies were not in a position to be shifted to the government hospital, post mortem was conducted at the flat, which had been given to Samiyathal as part of the alimony from her husband Thangavel, a textile trader. Karthik had a post-graduate degree in business administration while his sister Gowri is a law graduate.
