dated February 7, 1961: Transport of goods

A policy of securing co-ordination of various forms of transport through appropriate Government regulation in preference to unrestricted competition and integration of rail and road services, has been recommended by the Neogy Committee on transport policy. The Committee has expressed concern about the decline in railway earnings, owing partly to competition from road transport.
