Bangalore India Bio 2011 from May 4

Bangalore: The 11th edition of Bangalore India Bio 2011 will be held from May 4 to 6 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre here.

Announcing this here on Monday, Ashok Kumar C. Manoli, principal secretary, Department of IT, Biotechnology and Science and Technology, said this year, the theme of the event is “Biotech for improving the quality of life”.

It will be organised by the State's Department of IT, Biotechnology and Science and Technology; Karnataka Vision Group on Biotechnology; and MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications.

“Bangalore Bio has earned the sobriquet of being one of the largest and most prestigious biotech events in Asia and has made a great impact on the industry. It has positioned India as one of the top destinations for biotech research and development,” he said.

Over 170 exhibitors,1,000 delegates and over 5,000 business visitors from across the world are expected to participate. For details, visit www.bangaloreindiabio.in
