Suttu, Shemil hog limelight

Thrissur: Suttu hit 85 as Kaipamangalam's Madathis Builders United CC defeated Cherpu's Pioneer's CC by four wickets and entered the third round of the 23rd E.P. Pavoo memorial all-Kerala cricket tournament at the Sree Kerala Varma College Ground on Monday.

Thrissur's Fancy Fabrics Challengers, riding on Shemil's 82 and Vichu's four-wicket haul, defeated Kothamangalam's MAC Cricket Academy by eight runs in another second round match.

The scores: Pioneer's CC (Cherpu) 182 for seven in 26 overs (Sujith 46) lost to Madathis Builders United CC (Kaipamangalam) 184 for six in 25.2 overs (Suttu 85, Sabari 56, Jithesh three for 25).

Fancy Fabrics Challengers (Thrissur) 181 for nine in 26 overs (Shemil 82, Rakesh 40) bt MAC Cricket Academy (Kothamangalam) 173 for nine in 26 overs (Vichu four for 23, Visage three for 20).
