Rs 4.9 crore for SHGs

HYDERABAD: An amount of Rs.4.9 crore was distributed to 9,270 SHGs under the Pavalavaddi scheme, while 2,538 person were given YSR Abhayahastam sanctions during the Rachabanda programme in Rangareddy district so far.

A total of 540 villages were covered under the programme that began on January 24, said a press release.

Pensions were granted to 1,694 eligible persons, job cards to 1,701 persons and 4,333 eligible people were sanctioned houses under the Indiramma Housing scheme. Works worth Rs.8.22 crore were granted during the 11-day programme, the release added.

Meanwhile, white ration cards and housing were the major demands at the Rachabanda programme conducted by Marketing and Warehousing Minister M. Mukesh Goud.

Government schools

Poor conditions in government schools in Dattatreya Nagar division were also highlighted, reacting to which the Minister requested the district Collector to provide furniture and other basic material before the start of the next academic year, a press release said.

A total of 7,000 complaints were received in all.
