Prasanth, Sanoop lift Youngsters

THRISSUR: Prasanth's 74 and Sanoop's three-wicket haul helped Kodakara's Youngsters CC defeat Paravur's Kizen Youngsters CC by three wickets and enter the quarterfinals of the 23 {+r} {+d} E.P. Pavoo memorial all-Kerala cricket tournament at the Sree Kerala Varma College Ground here on Wednesday.

In another pre-quarterfinal, Krishnachandran's four-wicket haul went in vain as Jolly Rovers were edged out by Perumbavoor Youngsters by three runs.

The scores: Kizen Youngsters CC, Paravur 185 for seven in 26 overs (P.S. Manoj 57, Jithin Ramachandran 30, Sanoop three for 29) lost to Youngsters CC, Kodakara 186 for seven in 22.3 overs (Prasanth 74, Vinil Wilson three for 27).

Perumbavoor Youngsters CC 182 in 25.3 overs (Jawaz 37, Krishnachandran four for 35) bt Jolly Rovers, Perinthalmanna 179 for nine in 26 overs (Shimnaz 50, Mushthaq 40).
