BJP: people tired of rule by Congress, Left

Staff Reporter

Thrissur: BJP leader M. Venkaiah Naidu on Friday said that people of Kerala had become tired of the rule by the Congress and the Left over the years and were looking for a change. Addressing a reception accorded to the Kerala Raksha Padayatra, led by BJP State president V. Muraleedharan, at the Thekkinkad Maidan here on Friday, he called upon the people to fight corruption in public life.

“There is no difference between the Left Democratic Front and the United Democratic Front. They are the two sides of the same ‘fake' coin. It is high time that Kerala was liberated from the clutches of the Congress and Communists,” he said.

A pro-BJP wave was sweeping across the country, Mr. Naidu claimed. He alleged that both the fronts encouraged fundamentalists, promoted vote-bank politics and indulged in corruption.
