TIRUPATI: The TDP has submitted a representation to the TTD's Specified Authority Chairman, J. Sathyanarayana, and other members expressing concern over the alleged callous attitude of the management towards protecting valuable lands of the TTD at Srikalahasti and Visakhapatnam and so also in some places in Tamil Nadu and Uttaranchal. The party functionary and former chairman of the Srikalahasti Temple Trust Board, P.R. Mohan, who submitted the representation to the S.A. on behalf of the party at Tirumala on Friday, cited the alleged unauthorised occupation of TTD lands at Srikalahasti and a similar activity on the 1.25-acre TTD land in Visakhapatnam. The TDP also disapproved the reported TTD decision to allocate land for another seven mutts at Tirumala in addition to the 20 and said that the decision was contrary to the Minister's announcement in the House that no more land would be given to the mutts. The TDP also demanded a white paper on the extent of gold donations received from the public for the ‘Swarnamayam' project. Another TDP leader N. Vijayalakshmi, State vice-president, in a press release, demanded ‘sedition case' against the TN-JAC convener Kodandaram for inciting the people of Telengana not to pay taxes to the government and launch a non-cooperation movement against it.
