Central BJP leaders happy with Government's performance: Chief Minister ‘FIR against Rahman Khan and two others not politically motivated' NEW DELHI: Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa on Friday announced that he would go for a Cabinet reshuffle early next month, which would also include changes in portfolios of some Ministers. Talking to presspersons here after calling on BJP senior leaders Nitin Gadkari, L.K. Advani, Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley, Mr.Yeddyurappa said the high command had given him the nod to present a separate budget for agriculture when the general budget for 2011-12 would be presented in the Legislative Assembly on February 24. Mr. Gadkari would address a massive rally of the BJP on February 20 in Bangalore, which was mainly to highlight the good schemes introduced by the BJP Government, besides to strengthen and support the party. Over two lakh cadres from all over the State were expected to participate in the convention. r. Yeddyurappa, who presented documentary evidence relating to the alleged involvement in “land deal” by former Chief Ministers H.D. Deve Gowda, his son H.D. Kumaraswamy, S.M. Krishna and N. Dharam Singh to top BJP leaders to counter the anti-BJP propaganda in Parliament in the ensuing session, said he would also soon bring out a charge sheet against Mr. Deve Gowda and his family members. “So many illegal transactions have taken place, especially land scams. Let them discuss them in Parliament,” he said. The Chief Minister claimed that the central BJP leaders were happy about his Government's performance and was confident that it would complete its full term. He denied that the filing of FIR against Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman and Congress leader K. Rahman Khan and two others for alleged financial irregularities to the tune of Rs.102.02 crore in Amanath Cooperative Bank, Bangalore, was politically motivated. “He (Mr. Rahman Khan) is my close friend. I do not want to discuss about it. But there were specific charges against him in the case.” Meanwhile, party sources said the leadership was actively considering the candidature of Karnataka Special Representative here and former Union Minister V. Dhananjay Kumar for a Rajya Sabha seat from the State for which elections are due next month.
