MR. R.THIAGARAJAN, 92 years, Retd Director, Geological Survey of India, Son of Sri. V.Rathakrishna Iyer , passed away suddenly on Feb 11, 2011, 10.00pm at SSM Residency/Hindu Mission Hospital Tambaram. He is survived by his son, T.Viswanathan, Grandchild ren Chitra & Ashwin, many nieces and nephews and great Granddaughter. He was a long term resident of Mylapore for decades. He was immensely fond of music and was a lover of pure Carnatic/Hindustani music. He took great pleasure in the internet and great pride and joy in uploading his Wife's (Mrs. Kamala Thiagarajan's) veena recitals. He was very well read and could converse on a number of subjects.
