KOTTAYAM: Ernakulam's M.B. Muralidharan, with eight points from nine rounds, won the Kalathipady YMCA Open all-Kerala chess tournament at Kalathipady on Sunday. Thiruvananthapuram's young S.L. Narayanan finished runner-up. S.L. Parvathy, also from the State Capital, won the junior title while Ernakulam's Dennis Jose emerged as the sub-junior champion. Final placings: Open: 1. M.B.
