Kiran Walia bereaved

NEW DELHI: Delhi Health and Family Welfare Minister Kiran Walia's husband S.P. Walia passed away on Sunday. He was 74.

Mr. Walia was undergoing treatment at the Batra Hospital.

He was cremated on Sunday at the Lodi Road crematorium.

Mr. Walia, an automobile engineer, is survived by his wife and two children.  

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, Congress general secretary Mohsina Kidwai, Delhi Assembly Speaker Yoganand Shastri, Delhi Education Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely, Food and Supply Minister Haroon Yusuf, Social Welfare and Labour Minister Mangat Ram Singhal, other prominent Congress leaders paid tributes to the departed soul.
