Students win laurels

PUDUCHERRY: G. Narendhar and P. Swetha of St. Patricks Matriculation Higher Secondary School were declared winners in Catalyst 2011 National Level science quiz held recently. They won e-bikes worth Rs.80,000 and Rs.25,000 as prize money.

In Derek O'Brien's ‘What's your idea IQ contest' held recently, A. Induja won the gold medal. All the ten participants from the school including Manisha Georgina, Rajapriya, Swetha, Krithika, Nivetha, Induja, Sai Balaguru, Narendhar, Gokul Raj and Anand got individual scores higher than students from all other schools.

R. Swathika of Class XI and her team won the silver medal in School National Games in Badminton conducted in Chandigarh recently. M. Vinodhini of Class XII, J. Mary Josline of Class XI and A. Mathumitha bagged the silver medal in table tennis.

H. Vishwatha of Class V won the bronze medal in the roller skating national championship held recently.

The Acharya Siksha Mandir celebrated ‘Chrysalis Day' recently. A science exhibition was held as part of the celebrations. Over 80 students exhibited different computer based models and showcased their skills in different software.
