LVB posts higher profit

KARUR: Lakshmi Vilas Bank has registered a higher net profit of Rs. 25.69 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2010, against Rs. 6.77 crore in the corresponding quarter in the previous year. According to a release, total income has risen by 11 per cent to Rs. 287.58 crore. Total business has improved to Rs. 16,859 crore from Rs. 14,960 crore. Gross NPA has declilned to 2.98 per cent from 5.69 per cent.
