Academic meet concludes

Kozhikode: A two-day national academic meet ‘Internal Medicine Update-2011,' organised by the Medicine Department of Government Medical College here, drew to a close on Sunday. The meet, hosted as part of a Continuing Medical Education programme at Tagore Centenary Hall, saw the presentation of over 23 scientific papers on various topics. A Reappraisal on Treating Sepsis, Vitamin D Deficiency – a Marker of Malnutrition in India, Psychiatric Masqueraders of Medical Illness, and Anti-retroviral Therapy- the Calicut Experience were some of the major topics presented by experts on Sunday. Over 500 persons attended the two-day programme.
