Meet to focus on adopting need-based strategies

KOLLAM: Kaju India 2011, the international cashew buyer-seller meet organised by the Cashew Export Promotion Council of India (CEPC), will be held here from February 17 to 19.

CEPC chairman T.K. Shahal Hassan Musaliar and Secretary K. Sasi Varma said more that 250 exporters from India and major international buyers would attend the meet.

The meet, supported by the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry, will be inaugurated by Minister for Labour and Cashew P.K. Gurudasan.

Anoop K. Pujari, Director-General of Foreign Trade, will address the inaugural function and Chris Nubern, Director (Nut Procurement) Kraft Foods, the US, will be the guest of honour.

Mr. Musaliar said the valedictory function on February 19 will be inaugurated Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Anand Sharma. The theme of the meet is ‘Indian cashews: the first and the best.'
