Anniversary celebration

MYSORE: Sri Lalithakala Academy Foundation, Mysore, will organise a programme in Chennai on March 1 to mark the 500th anniversary of the coronation of Sri Krishnadevaraya.

It will be held at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chennai, under the aegis of Karthik Fine Arts. K. Phaneendra Reddy, chairman and CEO of Tamil Nadu Urban Development Fund, will inaugurate the event. On the occasion there will be a Kuchipudi presentation based on Krishnadevaraya's work Amuktamalyada by K.V. Sathyanarayana, film director and choreographer, according to a press release.
