KOCHI: The Kochi IPL team finally has a name. It's ‘Indi Commandos Kerala'. “Indi stands for India and Commandos stands for the Armed Forces and we have Kerala too,” explained Vivek Venugopal, the co-owner of the Kochi team, on Wednesday night. “We wanted to send a social message with this name, that we stand for the Armed Forces…and Services is also our catchment area.” Like almost all its earlier announcements, the team released its logo and name on its Facebook page. “We had sent the name to the BCCI for its approval, we can announce it only after we get the approval,” explained Mr. Venugopal. Two matches in Indore He also revealed that Kochi would play seven of its nine matches in Kochi and two in Indore. Is it the first two matches? Does it mean that the stadium would not be ready on time for the IPL? “We don't know which are the two matches,” said Mr. Venugopal. “And we don't know why the BCCI has changed the venue for two matches…that's for the BCCI to answer.”
