Summer camp

Coimbatore: Good news for parents dreading summer vacations, when their wards will feast on junk food, too much of TV, and video games.

National Adventure and Leadership School, a forum offering outbound learning programmes, is planning a summer camp for school students in April. The camp will be held on a 650-acre plantation area located 24 km from Coonoor. Open for students above the age of seven, the camp will be a hub of activities including trekking, rock climbing, jungle trek, endurance trek, night trek and rescue. The first batch of schoolchildren will leave for the adventure camp on April 11, 2011.
