The ‘Electric World 2011' gets underway



Shri. Tony Chammani, Worshipful Mayor of Kochi is inaugurating ‘ELECTRIC WORLD 2011.


The ‘Electric World 2011' is going to be a mega electrical engineering expo and is aimed at imparting information and education while enlightening and entertaining the common mass.

The event is at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium Grounds in Kochi. This year's theme is ‘Technology plus Safety'.

 The ‘Electric World 2011' showcasing exclusively electrical engineering products is in similar lines of ‘Elecrama' which was first organized in Kerala in the year 2007 as a part of Kelcon's Silver Jubilee Celebrations.

‘Kelcon', as it is popularly known, is the Association of Class ‘A' Electrical Contractors licensed by the Kerala State Electricity Licensing Board.

 Almost all the major manufacturers in the country, including multinationals, are showcasing a broad spectrum of electrical and associated products in the ‘Electric World 2011'.

Focus is on technological developments, safety, energy conservation and environmental health. Power generation, transmission, distribution, protection, control and monitoring equipment for industrial, commercial and building sector, quality power, lightning protection etc are some of the areas covered.

 The fully air-conditioned exhibition arena has all set the stage for technical seminars, products presentation and brain storming sessions on matters of contemporary relevance and importance.

Eminent engineers, consultants and professionals from different industries, commerce, construction etc are sharing their knowledge and experience with others.

Various departments and organizations are participating in this unique event.

 The Expo of roads an opportunity for electrical engineers, other professionals from allied industries, commerce and building sector, entrepreneurs, engineering students and of course the common man to see, understand and practice almost everything about electrical engineering related to their field of activities.
