It was a flight of fantasy 100 years ago

GLINTING FACADE:Mangalore Airport Terminal Building illuminated on Friday to mark 60 years of the port city getting air connectivity and also to mark 100 years of civil aviation in India. It was on February 18, 1911 that India's first flight, a commercial plane belonging to J.R.D. Tata and carrying 6,500 letters, was operated between Allahabad and Naini.
