‘Kurukshetra' begins

Anup Malik, director – Architecture of SpaceMatrix, Bangalore, inaugurating the management fest ‘Kurukshetra' by lighting a lamp in Manipal on Friday.

Manipal: The two-day annual national-level management fest of Manipal Institute of Management titled “Kurukshetra” began here on Friday.

Speaking at the inaugural function, Anup Naik, Director – Architecture of SpaceMatrix, Bangalore, emphasised on the importance of innovations, positive attitude and the individual capability to lead teams. Shailendra Marathe, Director, Capital Markets, Dell Services, Bangalore, spoke about the importance of competitiveness. Fests such as “Kurukshetra” gave practical exposure, which went a long way in helping budding managers to face the real corporate world, he said.

Director of the institute P.R. Chadaga said that management events such as the present one helped the prospective managers to imbibe leadership skills and interpersonal skills.

Student Coordinator of the fest Vathika Kamath welcomed the gathering. Registrar of Manipal University G.K. Prabhu presided over the inaugural function. Deepthi Dasan proposed a vote of thanks.
