Now, travel to Tirupati in luxury

New service:The Mercedes-Benz bus that was introduced by the KSRTC in Bangalore on Friday.
Bangalore: Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) on Friday introduced a world-class air-conditioned multi-axle bus with modern facilities brought out by Mercedes-Benz.
The bus, which will initially run on trial on the Bangalore-Tirupati route, was launched at a function held at KSRTC Central Office by Minister for Home and Transport R. Ashok.
The bus will leave Bangalore daily at 11.15 p.m. and reach Tirupati at 5 a.m. The cost of the night journey will be Rs. 450.
On its return journey, the bus will start from Tirupati at 9 a.m. and reach Bangalore at 3 p.m. The cost of the day journey will be Rs. 400, a press statement from KSRTC said.
“Mercedes-Benz Multi axle buses offer the highest standards of comfort, safety and reliability for users; at the same time the technology and efficient performance ensures optimum cost of running for KSRTC,” said a KSRTC official.
The corporation has already trained its drivers on the new Mercedes-Benz multi axle buses at their training centre in Pune.
The bus is provided with 53 ergonomically designed reclining seats with two point seat belts on 5 seats, besides twin foldable LCD monitors of 19” at front header and 17” at middle to provide entertainment, a statement said.
