Special Correspondent

CHENNAI: Advocates abstained from courts and tribunals and observed ‘Black Day' on Friday to criticise the government's ‘inaction' in the matter pertaining to the attack on lawyers on the Madras High Court premises on February 19, 2009.

The boycott call was given by the Madras High Court Advocates Association (MHAA), led by R.C.Paul Kanagaraj.

The Tamil Nadu Advocates Association headed by S. Prabakaran and the Women Lawyers Association also joined the boycott.

Advocates took out a procession on the High Court premises.
