IAS coaching centre for Kilakarai

RAMANATHAPURAM: Mohamed Sathak Trust would establish an IAS coaching centre at Kilakarai in Ramanathapuram district, said its Chairman S.M. Hamid Abdul Quadir.

Announcing this at a function held at Kilakarai recently, he said that the modalities of coaching programmes and methods would be worked out soon. B. Ramasamy, social scientist and Director, RIAS IAS Academy, New Delhi, would be the mentor of the institute. J.K. Rithish Kumar, MP, would be the president of the centre. Syed Abu Thaheer, Abul Hasan Sathali, Alaudin, Principals of Mohamed Sathak Engineering College, Syed Hameedha Arts and Science College and Mohamed Sathak Polytechnic respectively would be the members.

Mr. Quadir said that the aim was to make candidates in rural areas aware of the pattern of IAS examinations and prepare themselves for them. Candidates in rural areas would be motivated to take the examinations.

Earlier, Mr. Alaudin, president, Rotary Club of Kilakarai, gave away Rotary Excellence Award to Mr. Ramasamy for his services towards producing good candidates for IAS examinations.
