Assistance for 84 women

KULITHALAI: Maternity assistance amounting to Rs. 2.73 lakh was disbursed to 84 women at a function held at Sathyamangalam near here recently. Kulithalai MLA R. Manikkam handed over the assistance to the women.

While eight women were given Rs. 6,000 each under the Muthulakshmi Reddy Memorial Maternity Assistance, under the Janani Suraksha Yojana 75 women got Rs. 3,000 each and another woman granted Rs. 700 a month under the special maternity assistance scheme. Kulithalai panchayat union vice-chairman M. Kandasamy and Medical Officer at the Ayyarmalai Primary Health Centre S. Ranganathan were present.
