Farewell for judge

CHENNAI: Justice F.M. Ibrahim Kalifulla, a Judge of the Madras High Court, was on Monday accorded a farewell by the Bench and the Bar on his transfer to the Jammu and Kashmir High Court. Chief Justice, M.Y. Eqbal and other judges were among those present on the occasion. Advocate-General, P.S. Raman read out the farewell address.

With Mr. Justice Kalifulla's transfer, the strength of the Madras High Court has come down to 49 against the sanctioned strength of 60.
