Udupi: The Shastreeya Sangeeth Sabha organised a unique classical music festival titled “Tataaka Sangeet Mahotsav” at the “Sheshatheertha” lake on Sri Venkataramana Temple premises at Karkala in Udupi district on Saturday. A release issued by the sabha here on Tuesday said the music festival was held to mark the 19th anniversary of the sabha. The fest began at 6 p.m. and concluded at midnight. Three artistes of repute participated in the fest. S. Sowmya from Chennai rendered Carnatic vocal while Manju Mehta from Ahmedabad gave a sitar recital performance.
