Funds sanctioned to set up cyber crime lab

CHENNAI: The State government has sanctioned Rs.15.99 lakh for procuring sophisticated gadgets to set up a high quality Cyber Crime Laboratory in the Crime Branch CID headquarters in the city, according to a press release.

The sanction follows a proposal sent by the Additional Director General of Police (CBCID) Archana Ramasundaram seeking funds for purchasing latest scientific gadgets such as forensic tools, cyber investigation kits, digital scanners etc.
