Bus Day issue to be discussed with Principals

CHENNAI: Amid frequent complaints of traffic congestion and damage to Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) buses caused by students during Bus Day celebrations, Commissioner of Police T. Rajendran has planned to convene a meeting of principals of all colleges to discuss the issue.

A day after the Madras High Court wanted to know why the police were not taking action against Bus Day celebrations,

Mr. Rajendran held a meeting with senior police officials on Tuesday. “It was decided to call the Principals of all colleges in the city to discuss why Bus Day celebrations should not be banned,” a police official said.
