Award for film director

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Nila Madhab Panda has been selected for the Aravindan Puraskaram of the Chalachitra Film Society for debutant directors for 2010. It is his film “I am Kalam” which won him the prestigious award.

Even though the award winning film is his first feature film, he is a veteran of over 65 documentaries, short films, television drama (including two long TV serials) and corporate and advertising films.

He was selected by a jury chaired by Shyama Prasad and consisting of K.G. Jayan, P. Kishore and K.K. Susheelan (member-secretary). The award consists of a citation, a plaque and a cash prize of Rs.25,000.
