NITK hosts ‘Incident 2011'

A scene from a small play to inaugurate 'INCIDENT 2011' a five-day cultural fest at National Institute of Technology, Suratkhal, in Mangalore on Wednesday.

MANGALORE: “Incident 2011”, a national-level cultural meet of the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), began on Wednesday.

The event was inaugurated by N. Sivasailam, Managing Director, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (BMRCL). On Friday (Day 2 of the meet), the events to be held are workshops on dance, “Kung Fu”, hairstyling, portrait and photography, “Antakshari”, quizzes, clay modelling, Hindi “muhavare”, dumb charades, debates and beach sports.

Jewellery making

On Saturday (Day 3), the event will include workshops on “Origami Kirigami”, jewellery-making, Hindi extempore, musicals and photo exhibition. February 27 (Day 4) will have basket ball, terracotta and art workshop, a quiz, “beat boxing” workshop and a programme titled “Encore” by Sunidhi Chauhan.
