KANSHIRAMNAGAR: Demolition of a temple during an anti-encroachment drive here ahead of Chief Minister Mayawati's visit led to tension in this town. The razing of the temple located at the gate of Kasganj tehsil premises led to stone-throwing by locals at the bulldozer. Immediately after the incident, all markets were closed by BJP and Vishwa Hindu Parishad activists who also organised a dharna against the district administration. Policemen were deployed in strength in the city. - PTI
