Major fire at Canara Bank branch

DAVANGERE: A major fire broke out at the Mandipet branch of Canara Bank here on Friday. Computers, electronic gadgets and furniture were destroyed in the incident.

The watchman of the bank and workers of a nearby petrol station noticed thick smoke billowing from the building around 7 a.m. and informed the police and fire force. The blaze was brought under control after a few hours.
