Abhi-Ash to attend Oscars

Special invitees: Bollywood actors Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan.

New Delhi: Bollywood couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan are all set to attend the Oscars this Sunday, says ‘ Paa' Amitabh Bachchan.

The couple are in Los Angeles for the international awards ceremony and Abhishek ran into Hollywood star Warren Beatty at a clothes store. Big B wrote in his blog, “Incidentally they were getting fitted at a clothes store for the Oscars Award ceremony for Sunday — Warren and Abhishek! Ya, Abhishek and Aishwarya have been invited by the Academy to attend the Oscars on Sunday... so...”

Beatty spoke of his admiration for Amitabh, expressing his wonder at the 68-year-old veteran still being one of the busiest actors in Bollywood.

“Abhishek informs of his meeting with Warren Beatty, his knowledge and respect for me and my films and his wonder at me still working. Warren Beatty! Indian Films! Knows about Amitabh Bachchan and is in ‘awe'!!! Hmmm...something's not right here!! And he actually asked for Abhishek from the store owner because he knew he was my son,” wrote Bachchan Sr.
