KOLLAM: Film-maker Adoor Gopalakrishnan has been selected for this year's Sathkeerthi Award, instituted by the Minimol Memorial Charitable Trust. The award will be presented to him by Agriculture Minister Mullakkara Ratnakaran at a function at the Siddhartha Central School auditorium, Puthur, on Tuesday. The former Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation G. Madhavan Nair will be the chief guest. Mavelikara MP Kodikunnil Suresh will present the Jeevadeepthi Award of the trust to Sister Roselyn who is the director of the Punalur-based charitable institution Snehatheeram.
