THRISSUR: Cultural Affairs Minister M. A. Baby on Sunday said the LDF government had effectively taken culture to the masses in the past five years.
He was addressing a meeting here to lay the foundation stone for a museum in memory of Appan Thampuran. “The government owes its achievements to personalities in the cultural world, writers, intellectuals and office-bearers of various academies. The office-bearers functioned efficiently to bring glory to the government,” he said.
The government, he claimed, tried to present and promote different streams of culture.
“The platforms in Thrissur reflected the depth of the Culture Department's work,” he said.
