Goa students' project bags second place

PANAJI: A project presented by Nickton Dias and Premsagar B., students of Diploma in Electronics and Instrumentation, Government Polytechnic, Panaji, recently won the second place among 60 other projects from all over the country at the 5th National-level Project Exhibition and Competition organised by K. K. Wagh Polytechnic, Nashik, Maharashtra.

They presented a unique design for anemometer which is used for measuring wind speed.

The anemometer uses a differential pressure sensor and eliminates the use of a moving part.

The students also incorporated SMS alert for storm warning.

The students were guided by Brian Soares and Jagdish Bandodkar of the Department of Instrumentation and Control, Government Polytechnic, Panaji.
